We are seeking an experienced Senior Direct Tax Consultant to handle direct tax advisory, compliance, and litigation support for individuals, firms, and corporate clients in Surat. The role requires strong expertise in Indian direct tax laws, client handling, and strategic tax planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle direct tax compliance including filing of Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms, LLPs, and companies
- Manage tax audits, scrutiny assessments, and notices from Income Tax authorities
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liability in compliance with applicable laws
- Prepare and review computation of income, tax provisions, and deferred tax
- Draft and review replies to notices under Income Tax Act and represent clients before tax authorities
- Assist in handling appeals, assessments, and litigation matters
- Stay updated with changes in Income Tax laws, rules, and circulars
- Guide and mentor junior tax consultants and staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
- CA / Semi-qualified CA / LLM / MBA (Finance) / M.Com with strong direct tax exposure
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in direct taxation
- In-depth knowledge of Income Tax Act, assessments, audits, and litigation
- Experience handling corporate and non-corporate clients
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- Proficiency in tax software, MS Excel, and MS Office
