English Teacher/English Faculty

The English Teacher / Faculty is responsible for teaching English language and literature, improving students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, and fostering effective communication abilities. The role involves lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessments, and student mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English language, grammar, literature, and communication skills.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons as per the curriculum or syllabus.
• Improve students’ spoken English, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
• Conduct assessments, tests, and evaluations of student performance.
• Provide feedback and guidance to help students improve academically.
• Maintain attendance records, lesson plans, and academic reports.
• Encourage participation in debates, presentations, and language activities.
• Coordinate with parents, academic heads, and fellow faculty members.
• Support exam preparation and skill-development programs.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command over English (spoken and written).

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English (BA/MA English).
• B.Ed. preferred for school teaching roles.
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification is an added advantage.

Experience

• 1–5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Freshers with strong subject knowledge and communication skills may apply.

Work Environment

• Classroom and/or online teaching environment.
• May require evening or weekend classes for coaching institutes.
