Computer Operator

The Computer Operator is responsible for operating computer systems, maintaining digital records, processing data, and providing administrative support. The role ensures smooth handling of daily computer-related tasks while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate computer systems for data entry, record maintenance, and reporting.
  • Prepare documents, reports, letters, and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain and update files, databases, and digital records.
  • Handle email communication and basic internet-based tasks.
  • Assist in printing, scanning, and document management.
  • Ensure proper backup and security of data.
  • Report system issues or errors to the concerned authority.
  • Support administrative and clerical activities as required.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good typing speed and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of internet and email usage.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: 12th pass / Diploma / Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Computer certification (DCA, PGDCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 0–3 years of experience as a Computer Operator or similar role.
  • Freshers with good computer skills can apply.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role.
  • Regular working hours with occasional overtime if required.
