Store Incharge – Supermarket

The Store Incharge is responsible for the overall management of daily supermarket operations. This role ensures smooth store functioning, proper stock management, staff supervision, customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales targets while maintaining store standards and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day supermarket operations efficiently.
• Supervise and guide store staff, including cashiers and floor executives.
• Ensure proper stocking, shelving, and timely replenishment of products.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for procurement.
• Handle billing counters, cash management, and daily sales reports.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and visual merchandising standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Implement company policies, pricing, offers, and promotional activities.
• Prevent stock loss, pilferage, and expiry-related issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management and retail operations.
• Basic computer skills (POS systems, billing software, MS Excel).
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: 10+2 / Diploma / Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Training in retail management is an added advantage.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in supermarket or retail store operations.
• Experience as Store Supervisor / Assistant Store Manager preferred.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced retail environment.
• Standing and floor supervision required for long hours.
